Prioritizing Fees Using Pay Allocation
Administrators have the option to set the priority of fee items. This option allows users to apply full payment to the most important items first, rather than applying the payment to a percentage of all items equally. Items you do not prioritize default to the lowest priority. Civic Platform disburses payment to the priority items first according to order of priority, then paid to the rest of the items based on a percentage of the remaining payment.
For example, there are three fee items outstanding. If you enable this feature and enter the item priority, Civic Platform pays in full the item with the highest priority, then the second, then the third, and so forth. If you do not enable the feature, Civic Platform automatically distributes payments to each of the fee items by percentage.
