Managing Users

You can assign each user to one or more separate user accounts and you can assign multiple users to a generic user account. However, you can only assign one user account to any user group with access to a particular module at the department node of the organization structure. You must create multiple user accounts for those users that belong to multiple departments.

You can make password time-out settings and disable accounts at the individual user level or agency level. The setting for the individual user takes precedence over the setting for the agency.

Active Directory

Civic Platform integrates with Active Directory. You can manage user information in Active Directory with user information in Civic Platform. Account disable time frames and password time-out time frames set in the Accela system do not affect similar settings in Active Directory.
