Preventative Maintenance Schedule Overview
Civic Platform makes it easy to stay on top of preventative maintenance for any piece of equipment, asset, or vehicle. Preventative maintenance (PM) schedules are scheduled tasks that an agency requires for some assets to keep them in good working condition. Agencies can schedule preventative maintenance using both time and usage intervals.
USE CASE: An agency’s fleet of trucks requires the performance of several different maintenance services at certain times so that the trucks remain in good working condition. For example, the agency requires an oil change every 3,000 miles or every 12 months, whichever comes first. The agency generates a PM schedule for the oil change and then generates a work order for each fleet vehicle every 3,000 miles or 12 months, whichever comes first. When the work is complete, the date for the next oil change sets automatically.
