Cloning a Work Order
You can create one or more new work orders by cloning an existing work order. Cloning is the act of creating a duplicate application, permit, asset, or service request using an existing permit, application, asset, or service request as a template. Civic Platform automatically generates work order numbers for any new work orders created by cloning.
When you clone a work order, the new work order copies any of the following information depending on the cloned work order: work order type, address, parcel, owner, licensed professional, applicant, complaint, complainant, additional information, work order specific information, valuation calculations, and work order conditions.
You have the option to copy the existing workflow, including active and inactive tasks, and any fee items that have already been assessed for the cloned work order.
