Setting Up Security Policies

Security policies enable you to control who has permission to access an object and to automate what happens next when an object type reaches a certain status.

For example, you can restrict access to a building permit application when its status is Plan Review by limiting users ability to schedule and result inspections while the application is in that status, and allowing them to only view the application. When the application status changes to Issued, users can schedule and result an inspection.
